A new discovery in the field of Biology foretells that an Ebola-Like virus can safely destroys brain tumors which may lead to cure or fight brain cancers. A group of scientists perform an experiment by using a chimeric virus (VSV-LASV-GPC) containing genes from both Lassa and VSV to destroy brain cancer cells without making actions within or outside the brain.
Brain tumors is difficult to treat nowadays due to the complexity nature of human brains. However, these researchers have found a promising but unlikely a new ally in fighting brain cancers which is a portions of a deadly Ebola Like virus.
The image below shows Glioma tumor cells (in red) being destroyed in a rat brain by a chimeric virus (green) containing elements of the Lassa virus, an ebola-like pathogen.
